How to get to us

VCE (Visual Computing Erlangen) is located on the South Campus of the FAU at the Chair of Computer Science 9 (LGDV), Cauerstr. 11, 1st Floor left, 91058 Erlangen

By car

• A3 from Munich or Würzburg:
  Take the exit „Tennenlohe“ and drive on B4 in direction Erlangen till the exit „Universität Südgelände“.  Leave the following roundabout at the second exit onto Kurt-Schumacher-Strasse. Drive strait on until you can turn left into Cauerstrasse (a few 100 meters). Parking is possible nearby.
• A73 from Bamberg oder Nuremberg:
  Take the exit „Erlangen-Bruck“ and turn in direction Nuremberg. Stay on Paul-Gossen-Straße until you leave Erlangen. Take exit „Südgelände“ respectively to direction „Gräfenberg“. Turn left into Kurt-Schumacher-Straße. After a few 100 meters turn left into Cauerstraße. Parking is possible nearby.

By train (Erlangen mainstation)

Take bus 287 with direction „Sebaldussiedlung“. Exit at stop „Technische Fakultät“. Walk along „Egerlandstraße“ (where you gout out) in driving direction of the bus. At the end of the street turn right into „Erwin-Rommel-Straße“. At the end of the street (after about 200m) you can see the Felix-Klein-building with its two towers at the right side.

By bus from Nuremberg

• From main station:
  Take the S1 in direction „Bamberg / Forchheim / Erlangen“ until stop „Paul-Gossen-Straße“. From there take bus 280 in direction „Spardorf“. Exit at stop „Technische Fakultät“. Walk along „Egerlandstraße“ (where you gout out) in driving direction of the bus. At the end of the street turn right into „Erwin-Rommel-Straße“. At the end of the street (after about 200m) you can see the Felix-Klein-building with its two towers at the right side.
• From direction Plärrer:
  Take bus 34 or Tram 3 to stop „Am Wegfeld“. Change to bus 20 to „Erlangen/Arcaden“ until stop „Technische Fakultät“. Walk along „Erwin-Rommel-Straße“ (where you got out) in opposite direction to the bus. At the end of the street (after about 200m) you can see the Felix-Klein-building with its two towers at the right side. Alternatively at „Am Wegfeld“ change to bus 30 to „Erlangen“ until stop „Erlangen Süd“.  Walk along „Egerlandstraße“ and at the end of the street (after about 500m) turn right into „Erwin-Rommel-Straße“. At the end of the street (after about 200m) you can see the Felix-Klein-building with its two towers at the right side.
• From direction Rathenauplatz:
  Take the underground „U2“ to the airport. Change there to bus 30 to „Erlangen“ until stop „Erlangen Süd“.  Walk along „Egerlandstraße“ and at the end of the street (after about 500m) turn right into „Erwin-Rommel-Straße“. At the end of the street (after about 200m) you can see the Felix-Klein-building with its two towers at the right side.

By plane (airport Nuremberg)

Take bus 30 to „Erlangen“ until stop „Erlangen Süd“.  Walk along „Egerlandstraße“ and at the end of the street (after about 500m) turn right into „Erwin-Rommel-Straße“. At the end of the street (after about 200m) you can see the Felix-Klein-building with its two towers at the right side.
